Several awards were also bestowed upon individuals, including the Arthur S. Fleming award.

The Arthur S. Fleming Award is a prestigious community service award presented to an individual from Delaware or Morrow County who has made exceptional contributions to their community. The 2012 recipient of the Arthur S. Fleming Community Service Award was Delaware County resident Dr. Thomas Helmrath.

The Board also awarded the Helping Hands Award to publicly recognize those individuals that have made significant and outstanding contributions this past year to persons served by the mental health and recovery services system. The 2012 Helping Hands Award recipients were: Morrow County Common Pleas Judge Robert Hickson, Jr., Delaware Municipal Court Judge David Sunderman, Delaware County Sheriff Russ Martin, retired Delaware City Schools Superintendent John Thomas, Maryhaven Counselor Rhonda Milner, Bill and Karen Freeman and Delaware Morrow Mental Health & Recovery Services Board Office Manager Sharon Hart.
