The Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board has been notified that mental health and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment provider Maryhaven will discontinue operations in Delaware and Morrow Counties, effective May 15, 2026.

Maryhaven leadership has informed Board staff that a series of factors have made it unsustainable to continue providing services locally at this time.

“The Board is actively working to ensure continuity of care for affected clients,” said Deanna Brant, Executive Director of the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board. “Maryhaven has been a valued provider, and we appreciate the care and commitment their staff have shown to our communities over the years.”

“We are thankful for the years of collaborative partnership with the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board,” said Maryhaven President and CEO Oyama Garrison. “The Board has been a tremendous partner. Our decision to non-renew services is not a reflection of the needs within the community, but rather our desire to focus strategically on core services in an ever-evolving behavioral healthcare sector.”

Individuals currently receiving services through Maryhaven are being contacted and assisted with transitions to other local providers, primarily within the Board’s existing network.

The Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board remains committed to maintaining access to high-quality mental health and SUD services across both of our counties. The Board continues to collaborate with community partners and providers to address service gaps and respond to the region’s evolving demand for care.

“We recognize this news may be unsettling,” Brant added. “Our priority remains the wellbeing of the residents we serve, and we are taking immediate steps to support clients, families, and the broader system during this transition. Our Board remains firmly committed to continued investment in a strong, responsive system of care in 2026 and beyond.”
