"I'll Go First" series wraps up with Dixie Shinaberry

It's the final week of Mental Health Awareness Month, which means it's time for the final video of the initial launch of the series we're calling "I'll Go First." People often struggle to talk about mental health care and addiction until someone else "goes first," so we're hoping these videos do just that.

In the latest episode, Morrow County Recorder and Tomorrow Center Board of Directors member Dixie Shinaberry talks about the “unreal” stigma she sees against people seeking mental health care, and what she hopes the newly-renovated Meadow Center will bring to Morrow County and the behavioral health community.

You can find the first “I’ll Go First” episode with former Powell Mayor Jon Bennehoof here, the second episode with Morrow County Sheriff John Hinton here, the third episode with Stockhands Horses for Healing Executive DIrector Tim Funk here, and last week’s episode with Mount Gilead schools superintendent Zack Howard here.
