It's the July edition of the DMMHRSB newsletter The Reset
As we continue through summer, the Delaware-Morrow Mental Health and Recovery Services Board remains focused on strengthening the behavioral health system and ensuring residents have access to the services and supports they need.
The July edition of The Reset highlights several important developments throughout our communities, including our Board of Directors’ vote to place a levy issue on the November ballot. The levy serves as the dedicated local funding source for crisis response, mental health services, prevention initiatives, and addiction recovery programs serving residents throughout Delaware and Morrow Counties.
This month’s edition also highlights an important transition in local recovery housing. Coleman Health Services has assumed operation of the men’s and women’s recovery housing facilities previously overseen by Maryhaven.
Prevention and early intervention continue to be important components of the Board’s work. The newsletter previews the upcoming Mental Health First Aid training in Morrow County, Syntero’s Summer Groups for K-12 students, and Drug Free Delaware’s participation in Safety Town programs that provide children with important safety and prevention education.
The July edition also looks toward the future with coverage of the groundbreaking for Delaware County’s new Shared Services Building. The facility will bring several county agencies, including DMMHRSB, together in one location, creating opportunities for greater collaboration and making it easier for residents who utilize multiple community services agencies
